Excel Construction of Florida, a leading regional commercial and industrial construction company, has completed an 8,171-sq.-ft. office renovation for a national cable operator.

Located at 10785 Marks Way in the Miramar Park of Commerce, the cable operator’s new modern workplace incorporates focused workspaces with collaboration zones and social hubs to engage and energize employees. The scope of the project included the demolition of existing offices and ceilings to make way for state-of-the-art workspaces, an inviting breakroom, stylish conference rooms and high ceilings, designed for greater employee satisfaction and optimized productivity.

Designed in subdued earthy tones with hints of blues, greens and black, the finished workspace includes specialized millwork, modern lighting elements and horizontal and vertical linear elements to offset the buildings curved windows and bring visual interest to the space. Conference rooms and offices with floor-to-ceiling glass fronts allow for natural light and comfortable communal seating alcoves with modern furnishings foster a collaborative and open work environment.

There are elements throughout the space that bring touches of warmth and enjoyment to the work environment. The breakroom, for example, is designed to look and feel like home with a modern kitchen, wood finishes, warm glass pendant lighting and communal island seating. The open work area also features a shuffleboard table to encourage short breaks and team building.
